Library Partners with Rotary Club and Food Bank to Distribute Books

book donation

Each month, the Rotary Club of League City partners with the Galveston County Food Bank to host a food distribution event.  In addition to handing out nutritional food to those in need in our community, volunteers are also now handing out books.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Friends of the Helen Hall Library, library staff members and volunteers are distributing free adult and children’s books at the monthly food drive. Since the initiative started four months ago, over 1,100 brand-new books have been distributed.

The Helen Hall Library hopes to continue distributing free books each month. If interested in supporting the initiative, you can donate to the Friends of the Helen Hall Library. There is a donation box at the desk in the lobby of the library and donations can also be made in the Friends of Helen Hall Library Used Bookstore located in the library.
