Drowning Investigation 901 W. FM 517

At 6:56 p.m. this evening, The League City Police Department received a call from a resident of Jordan Cove Apartment
Complex regarding a possible drowning in the complex pool. The victim, a 5 year-old child, was
removed from the pool and CPR initiated. LCPD Communications guided the caller and bystanders
with CPR until first responders arrived and took over.

The child was transported to Clear Lake Emergency Room and later pronounced deceased.

Adult family members of the child were present at the time along with multiple other children. Foul
play is not suspected at this time and the final cause of death is pending autopsy results.
