A Special Election for the City of League City was held today for residents to vote on the creation of the League City Municipal Development District and the imposition of a sales and use tax of one-fourth of one percent to finance development projects.
The proposition failed by 496 votes with 3,630 for and 4,126 against. The unofficial tabulations for the Special Election are as follows:

Additionally, provisional votes are not included in the unofficial vote tabulation.
Votes will be canvassed during a Special Council Meeting on Nov. 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The meeting will be streamed live on LCTV-16 and online at www.leaguecity.com/CityCouncilMeetings.
