Community Involvement

The League City Police Department is involved in the community in many ways. Officers provide safety presentations to seniors, businesses, homeowner’s association, and youth groups. Officers can be requested for speaking engagements..

Officers are often spotted at community events such as the Village Fair, local schools for career day, Holiday in the Park, and the Annual Holiday Parade. Officers coordinate the Citizens Police Academy, National Night Out, and Blue Santa Program.

Tours

Tours of the police department are offered to area youth groups. Group size is limited. Adult chaperone’s must pass a background check prior to entry in accordance with federal security requirements.

Trevor Montero began his career with the League City Police Department in 2013. Prior to joining the Police Department, Officer Montero served in the Coast Guard for 20 years. Officer Montero has served in the Patrol and Special Operations Divisions and is currently assigned to the Community Outreach.

  • Marine Safety Enforcement Officer

Trevor holds an Intermediate Peace Officer’s Certification. Officer Montero is the League City Police Department liaison to the League City Police Department Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association.

Todd Young began his law enforcement career in 1990 with the League City Police department. Todd has served in the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations and Special Operations.

Todd holds a Master Peace Officer’s Certification and has an Associate degree in Criminal Justice. Officer Young is the League City Police Department liaison to the League City Police Department Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association and the Coordinator for the Department’s Volunteers in Policing Program.
