Curbside Recycling Update

Since October 26, 2023, regular curbside recycling resumed following a fire at the Material Recycling Facility (MRF) that services League City. The MRF was non-operational for a few weeks but has been running as normal since the end of October 2023.

Acceptable Recycling Bins

Residents are provided with a 48-gallon closed-top, wheeled cart for recycling. Recyclable items should be placed directly in the cart and not bagged. Residents may also place recyclables in clear or clear blue, plastic recycling bags and place directly on the curb. These can be purchased at a local hardware or discount store. If you need a recycling cart, please email AmeriWaste or call 281-585-3200.

NOTE: Recycle carts are to be used for recyclable materials only, and they remain the sole property of AmeriWaste. When moving from a residence, the recycle cart shall remain at the address to which it was delivered.
