Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Events

As part of League City’s agreement with AmeriWaste, there are two Household Hazardous Waste disposal events hosted at Hometown Heroes each year in the spring and fall. AmeriWaste will also provide two curbside HHW disposal events, one in the summer and one in winter.

Curbside HHW Pickup Events

For the winter 2024 curbside pickup event, residential customers *only* will need to call AmeriWaste at 281-585-3200 between January 8 and January 20 to be added to the pickup list. Curbside pickups will be from January 22–26, and AmeriWaste will notify residents by phone of their pickup date. Accepted items for this event include televisions, electronics, microwaves, and appliances ONLY. Other hazardous waste material will need to be disposed of at the Stella Roberts facility in Pearland or during the spring or fall disposal events at Hometown Heroes.

Hometown Heroes HHW Disposal Events

2024 Household Hazardous Waste events at Hometown Heroes Park will be held on March 16 and a date in the fall that is TBD. Learn more about the Household Hazardous Waste events here.
