The Meadows Drainage Improvements, Phase I
Scope of work: Increase capacity and efficiency of existing easements and purchase new rights-of-way to enhance drainage flow from the subdivision to the Robinson Gully tributary. Improve capacity and efficiency of Robinson Gully tributary between Robinson Gully and FM 270.

Project Status as of December 2021
GO Bond Project; Council approved design contract on July 28, 2020 with The Meadows Phase 2; project kickoff meeting was held on August 24, 2020. Drainage report has been reviewed and finalized. Notice to Proceed (NTP) for Task 2 was issued on May 3, 2021. Weather delays and scope additions have caused schedule creep. Technical memo was received on July 1; geotech report was received on July 30. Environmental report and 30% plans with options identified was received on September 20; comments returned on October 12; plan review meeting to discuss comments was held on November 1. Public meeting was held on September 23, 2021. Revised Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) and 30% plans were received on November 19, 2021 and are currently under review. Proposal to complete the final design was received on November 30 and currently under review. Anticipate Council action for approval in February 2022.
The original schedule, as of September 2019, shows the design phase of The Meadows Subdivision Drainage Improvements, Phase I beginning in quarter 1 of 2021 through quarter 2 of 2021. Land acquisition is planned for quarter 3 of 2020 through quarter 2 of 2021. Construction bidding is scheduled for quarter 3 of 2021 with construction following through quarter 4 of 2021. Construction time is an estimate as each bid is awarded based on cost and time submitted by the contractor.
The current schedule, as of December 2021, shows the completion of a swale in quarter 3 of 2019 with grant application phase of The Meadows Subdivision Drainage Improvements Phase 1 completed in quarter 2 of 2020. Design began in quarter 3 of 2020 and continues in progress through quarter 2 of 2022. Land acquisition begins in quarter 4 of 2020 through quarter 2 of 2022. Construction bidding is scheduled for quarter 3 of 2022 with construction following through quarter 4 of 2023. Construction time is an estimate as each bid is awarded based on cost and time submitted by the contractor.
