Community Outreach

Responsibilities

League City Police Officers give presentations on personal safety, crime prevention, and bullying. The Community Outreach Unit coordinates and attends scheduled community appearances and presentations within League City’s jurisdiction.

This unit is also responsible for the following community programs:

Community Outreach Officers

Officer Todd Young

Todd Young began his law enforcement career in 1990 with the League City Police department. Todd has served in the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations and Special Operations.

Experience
Officer Young’s experience includes:

  • D.A.R.E. / Crime Prevention Officer
  • Field Training Officer
  • Hostage Negotiator
  • Marine Safety Enforcement Officer
  • SWAT Officer

Todd holds a Master Peace Officer’s Certification and has an Associate degree in Criminal Justice. Officer Young is the League City Police Department liaison to the League City Police Department Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association and the Coordinator for the Department’s Volunteers in Policing Program.
